    Plastic Surgery

What do people think on Ladies (or men) having Plastic Surgery before joining the Forces... not for joining the forces, but before they joined they had surgery done?

    Things such as:

Breast Enlargements, Lipo, Face Lifts, Tummy tucks...and any other surgery you can think of??

Is it accepted, is it frowned apon, or do people think its good because your 'looking after yourself'?

    All comments appreciated!! :D

    Re: Plastic Surgery

I know people who have had surgery whilst serving, there was no problem. But then again, I don't think many would have a problem with a nice new pair of double Ds.

To my knowledge there are some procedures which would make you unfit for service for a few years

    Re: Plastic Surgery

It’s not the NAAFI so I will refrain from asking for photos (purely for research of course). I worked on attachment in Burns and Plastics at Woolwich Mil Hospital and we had a number of serving ladies who had both reduction and enlargement surgery mostly for "psychological" reasons. As long as they are not bizarre you should be ok but make sure it is declared and explained on your medical forms. Just like in civilian life you will find out all the boys like a teacher with big boobs.

Thanks, Thats reassuring. I'm expecting to get questioned and commented about it though so thats not a problem.

I just wondered if it would hinder my perception to recruiting staff or affect my application in anyway? Because I know my friend couldn't become a Pilot because of hers, they implode apparently.

But luckily I never want to be a pilot :D

They dont implode they explode, Higher pressure inside them than outside them, would be interesting to watch either way though :P

You should be more concerned about the fact you will have to carry them about on PT and the need for a good sports bra to avoid unsightly black eyes.
