Re: From him to Sea lion
Seriously, how has this impacted on your wife. I expect she's sick of the local mechanic's saying ''It looks like you've just blown a seal, luv" and then sniggering.

He doesn't want species reassignment to become a seal!! He want's to be a sea lion. I bet you're the sort who would call someone from Mumbai a "pakistani".

Well, your quest for your genuine identity gets my seal of approval, but flippering hell, it's a sea-change.
Some things won't change. Sea Lions, like you, have the smallest cox in relation to body mass. Still, it's what you do with it while eating bacon sandwiches that counts.

Only if he was lying dead in a bullet-riddled hotel lobby.

Re: From him to Sea lion
"California sea lion bulls establish breeding territories on the beach from May to August. The peak of mating activity is in late June and early July. Galápagos sea lions may mate from May to January"
I hate to bring race and ethnicity into what is, essentially, a specious discussion but, unless you consider it carefully you could be confining your sexual activities to 3 short weeks a year. Go for Galapagos, lots of wrinkly things there and you'd feel far more at home. You know it makes sense, self abuse with flippers is going to be problematic any way you look at it (and you could get all angles underwater).
"Courtship and copulation may last from a few minutes to a few hours. The female terminates copulation by raising her head and shoulders and biting the male’s neck."
Must be when the chloroform wears off - I didn't know sea lions used it, but hey ho, at least your not going to have to worry about changing your mating behaviour and it should all feel familiar to you.
