So far so good!!
To recap:
Armed trainer type with small calibre nose guns.
Non-Soviet type.
However, BoF was also warmish with his first stab at an L-39..."I hold that it is quite wrong for the soldier to want to exercise command over the striking forces. The handling of an Air Force is a life study, and therefore the air part must be kept under Air Force command."

Morning all!
One quick stab from me - Older than the L-39, maybe a PZL Iskra?

Quickies are often the most satisfying!!! :D
A Polish TS-11 Iskra it is.

Re: Whats this, any plane spotters in?
The 70s?! They're still flying them, albeit in a different camoflage!! In fact, the Iranians are now the only operator of the F-14 remaining after the USN retired the last of theirs recently.

Re: Whats this, any plane spotters in?
Educated estimates are that they only have 25 serviceable out of the original 80 they purchased. And out of the 25, who knows how many are actually combat ready and able to do the job. Having said that, the Phoenix is still a formidable AAM despite it being over 40 years old. Again, it is unclear how many working AIM 54s they have left. If the next US excursion is in to Iranian airspace, they'll need to give them a bit of thought and if nothing else, a bit of respect (just prior to Tomahawking the living bejesus out of the area).
I hate humans. I wind people up, it's what I do.
