Re: Whats this, any plane spotters in?
I honestly can't think of an answer to that one ...

PP,
A very small pic. However, it appears to be a twin engined prop type, probably mid 50's in origin with nose gear and some minimal avionics upgrade.
I'll go for a low confidence An-24/26 variant."I hold that it is quite wrong for the soldier to want to exercise command over the striking forces. The handling of an Air Force is a life study, and therefore the air part must be kept under Air Force command."

Probably about as much use as an MRA4 but no. Neither is it a B-57 monkey.

MM Sorry for my slackness in response- my boss unreasonably expects me to do some work. Your close in age and engine type but not Russian, try a little closer to home.
There's no chip on my shoulder. I'll tell you what there is though, three pips and don't you forget it.

Re: Whats this, any plane spotters in?
I suppose we have to take M_M's word for it that this is a bit of airplane - but which bit?
I think I am looking at the stdb side of a nose which is upright, but then again it could be something completely different. From the sand and blue sky I am guessing it is post war US, sitting in CHE storge in a desert. That narrows it down to a few hundred types!

PP,
I reckon yours is a De Havilland Dove then.
FP,
Good spot on a poorly Iraqi Tu-22 Blinder at Al Taqaddum.
