Here's an interesting rumour picked up recently:

Premise based on recent history - squadrons (AH and Lx) are more likely to deploy in a half squadron of four than a whole squadron of eight.

Therefore, rather than bodging it, configure squadrons so that they can be evenly split and deployed as half squadrons.

Therefore upgrade the Sqn 2IC to a majors post and make that post command earning.

Therefore solve current and future shortage of commands!!!


Just a half squadron for me please - I could never command a whole one!
