    Airbags for wokkas?

I’m not sure if this is some sort of spoof or not.

Surely more or less the same damping effect could be achieved by installing progressive shock-absorbers into the supports for the landing-ski thingies (sorry about the technical terminology there)? Added to that, I can’t see something like this being much help if a wokka has its propeller-blade dooberries (another technical term, sorry) shot off or otherwise rendered unusable at 200 feet or more.

There’s also no indication as to whether this airbag is permanently sticking out of the bottom of the wokka, or whether it deploys automatically or by hitting some sort of "oh-fuck!" button.

Has anybody else heard of this development?

    Probably a weight issue?
