The Major said "Milligan, how long have you been in this man's Army?" I said "About 5 foot 11 inches"

How many beers would it take to make you fancy this one?

Reminds me of a Star Trek transporter accident! (or a Babylon 5 Shadow)

(edit: dunno what happened to the original image - found another one and someone who shares my view about its looks http://airminded.org/2008/01/15/the-...-of-aerospace/ )

Fairey Fantome. Nothing else comes close to the perfection of this elegant 1930s biplane.

    Re: Most Beautiful Aircraft

Was sitting on hill in my Dads car, near Guildford when I was a kid when I saw a plane in the distance just hanging in the air?? I sat amazed as a youngster would and excitedly pointed it out to my dad who stared in amazement too until it dropped from sight. Saw on the news a couple of days later that it was the maiden flight of the Harrier.

Fast forward 15 years and I still got the same feeling of awe as one scooted overhead and let loose at the Argy positions in front of us on Tumbledown.

As much as I drool over Spitfires and Lancasters, my heart will always belong to the Harrier.

    Edited for mong spelling

If my sense of humour annoys you, please tell me..So I can LAUGH AT YOU!!

    Focke-Wulf Ta 154 Moskito (Mosquito).

If only there were a few still flying in the U.K. including one with the BBMF.
