Did a det to Oman many years ago, was completely impressed with the fact you could do a loose rivet check by sticking your hand up in the air and not having to shut engines down or even drop the undercart......

Ah yes, the Slowpide magnificant machine, there used to be one at Weston on the Green, used by the parachute club as a jump ship, flown by a crazy Polish exRAF pilot.

Shame about the wonky heraldry. How hard would it have been to stick that transfer on straight like the other one. Bad drills Slovakian air force.

Sukhoi 34
I've always liked the raised cobra head type stance of the latest Russian designs. Not so keen on that wretched, lurid turquoise they like to use however.

Her name is Ekaterina, and she'll lull you into a false sense of security with her disarming prettiness before dropping knowledge bombs on you. Can't dress for feck though.
Edit: and she's somehow related to Lynx and Huey (Huey is a girl, just probably embarassed about being called Hughlina by her American parents or something). They all have 'I'm nice' eyebrows.

Re: Most Beautiful Aircraft
Gerry S (G - WOTG) was the man. His son took up the mantle but only on the end of a parachute. Gerry always kept a questionable bundle of 'ladies' magazines beneath his seat for those 'laze around and wait' days at WOTG. Ex fighter pilot reduced to flying around this old beast, but oh how we appreciated him RIP.

Re: Most Beautiful Aircraft
Also have to agree, great aircraft, used to watch them take off from Farnborough, including the V bombers.
