Proper dogs: Labrador, Springer, Border Collie, Airedale, possibly the big Poodle too. Nothing else counts really. Apologies for being a dog fascist.
With respect and giving you the benefit of the doubt that you are really not serious, if you take the time to go visit an RSPCA or other animal welfare group facility you will find many dogs who largely through the fault of humans are, to bend your terminology a bit, "improper" dogs as they are of mixed heritage. Nevertheless, they deserve as good a life as any "proper" dog.

As the grateful owner of 9 "improper" dogs at present and a number of others that have passed on, I can but say your statement is inane at best. It is criminal IMHO that we as a species too often treat our "best friends" so shabbily and often for no other reason than they are "not proper dogs."

You're right. I wan't being entirely serious! One of yours seems to have quite a bit of Lab in it anyway.

And I forgot to add Retrievers to the list...

No, it's just that bizarre Brit humour. Though I'm in a time zone very close to yours right now. And missing my dog who I haven't seen for a week or two. She's as thick as two short planks but special nevertheless.

Took this lad on couple months ago! He's acts like a bull in a china shop about 95%-ish of the time but the small percentage of time when he is solemn and calm makes up for it.

For anyone who doesn't have a Sibe, don't get one! Honestly get a cocker spaniel or something smaller and less destructive, for those that do own one i'm sure you'd agree the house would feel empty and character-less if they weren't about, now we have one If I was to get another dog it couldn't be anything but another Sibe!

With all this hot weather and after a very long walk, I thought I would reward the Pups with a cooling off in the River Avon!

That's OK, my Jack Russell thinks you're a bit of a twat as well and is wondering if you fancy a fight. He's up for it, anyway.
