A couple of UK dog-related reports on the BBC News today ...
BBC News - Lyme disease risk from dogs 'higher than thought'
BBC News - UK native dog breeds 'at risk of extinction'. This is particularly sad "Setters killed off by Paris Hilton's Chihuahua".

That Lyme disease link is excellent for any dog owner or person who is in the countryside. A nasty disease for dogs and humans. A friend had a wonderful Brittany Spaniel, great flushing gun dog, that was fine one week and had to be put down the next due to Lyme disease. My late mum had it also and was ill for months with fatigue and arthritis-like symptoms. Quite common in my part (New England) of the US
Dog vaccine is available here and I always had the dog get the shot after seeing my friend lose his little Brit.

Jumping for joy
No idea what they feed these guys on, the sheer look of "the chase" enjoyment on their faces made me post this. Some TLC will be needed on the wire snags on a couple of them.

Aye, moved my hound to something with no grain in as I was not happy on finding out exactly what was in Eukanuba. Anyway, he is on Orijen now and is thriving. Not the cheapest food at all, but their website has a special offer on for some damaged bags and he is thriving on it. We are feeding him a lot less as well because it is richer. You also might be feeding your dog too much and he is just pushing it through as fast as possible.

Yup as mine got a bit older he needed less food. Strange tummy he has as all my other dogs would eat enough and only got loose stools through scavenging. I have to give very measured amounts twice a day.

A cheaper but worth a try alternative is Supadog sensitive, it comes in at almost half the price of the main alternatives. My dog had a severe gluten and dairy allergy and the 3 she could eat without issue were James Wellbeloved, Burns and Supadog Sensitive. Make sure it is the sensitive, as the other Supadog mixes are not gluten free.

Mine lives on lidls finest 7 euros 10 Kgs and left overs and is as healthy as anything (8 ish year old 25Kg mongrel) currently enjoying a fish treat every night, as a friend gave me about 6 kilos of cod that wasnt fit for human consumption, so boiled it up and she gets a load of that with her meal every night.
