Ten years ago, me and my estranged wife got this puppy (5 months old) - I wanted the three-legged GS, from a rescue centre called 'Last Chance' in East Sussex - it literally is what it says, as they take animals from dog punds that are about to be destroyed! We found her - well, my youngest daughter did - by accident, as it was in a low cage with a blanket over it.

The place has a large, fenced sand area to take the dogs and to see what they are like. My daughter, whilst walking her on the lead, stood on her paw and the only reaction from the dog, was to yelp in pain - no snapping, signs of agression or anything! This dog, has the best temprement one could wish for - great with all children, adults and all other animals....well. she's not too keen on the neighbour's pet goat!

My marriage ended 2.5 years ago and I brought the dog with me to Germany (after getting the pet-passport sorted!) and I have never regretted doing so! I can leave the house for literally two minutes and when I walk back in, it's like I had been away for hours!!

The only downside with her, are that she is scared of all loud noises (like sudden bangs and thunder) and that she continually moults and leaves white hair everywhere!!

Wouldn't give her up for anything!!!
Great summary of my views as well.

    Nachtkerzenol (perhaps)
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up,

As true today as in 1320.

Ugly, whenever you read this, hope there were at least some customers at Highclere today - thought of you looking out at the rain and glad we went yesterday. Look forward to seeing the new website and purchasing when the hound arrives.

Yet again, Connie our bitch Staffie found something far worse than fox shit to roll in whilst out walking. Even the dog Staffie avoided her. Five shampoos later, all with added disinfectant and she is almost tolerable. We were taking it in turns to wash her, one washing and the other gagging..she loved it.

    Different rout tomorrow for sure.
Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

I didn't say it was your fucking fault, I said I was blaming you.
