These are my dogs-all rescued from cruelty and neglect situations:

Look like a bunch of well looked after rascals. :D

Indeed-our food and medical bills are much more than for ourselves! Would not have it any other way though!

We're close to that with only 3dogs and 2 cats, (plus an extended family of Swans) :D

I would like to see someone try to burgle your gaff, with all the animals plus a tooled up hairy arse and wife.

If they get past all that there will be cleared fields of fire and numerous firearms at the ready.

Other than a cork(!) what can I give her to help move her bowels and avoid the appalling stench of methane and hydrogen sulphide?

Charcoal biscuits can help and also give up smoking...

If the dog is constipated Lactulose from a Pharmacy can help. My last dog had constipation in the latter stages. I gave him 5ml twice a day.
Charcoal biscuits gave the dog before lovely black reeking loose stools.

I cannot remember specifically why, but a good few years ago, the then dog (a lovely “show� Springer bitch) was taken to the vets. It must have been a similar problem to your retriever, as I do remember the vet emptying a couple of compacted glands that are just inside the dog’s anus. Not the most pleasant of jobs, and I was surprised the vet did not do it at arm’s length - rather than leant right over the dogs arse!

I was at the other end, holding the dog’s head. Thankfully, I have now forgotten the stench of the acrid brown fluid that covered the handfuls of cotton wool.

Sweet. Thanks for the heads-up I'll remember to take the S10 with me - if for no other reason than to scare the bejeebus out of the vet.

I am babysitting this charmer for a couple of weeks (his owner is ill). Breath that'd put a dead badger to shame, but really good company on the hill!!

He looks happy to be up there.

As it's female and assuming you actually do have one, she's most probably protesting, in a likewise manner, to all the shite that you've been laying on any member of the opposite sex that you've managed to con into listening to you.

Yes, the Zero had to be put to sleep in December, couldn't last long without one around the place. I'd forgotten the amount of energy they have. Happybonzo also has a puppy.

There's just nothing to compare with a puppy, worth all the trouble they can cause. He's beautiful.
