Hello folks,
I am a 18 year old off to university (York / Keele / Surrey or Kent) next year and will be attempting to become an Officer in the Int Corps. Was looking at joining the Army later in life as it is something I can be proud for doing when I look back on my life. Had no intention of going to Uni but circumstances changed so I thought I might as well apply now. Have been lurking around on this forum and it seems that becoming an Int Office is going to be tough but I want to find out whether I am capable of succeeding.
Look forward to doing some more skulking around this forum.

Is the REME Recy mech still have restrictions on 'older' entrants these days as when I first applied (many many moons ago) I was unfortunately informed they were only accepting 17-19 yr olds at my time.

Hi, All, I eventually got round to joining this merry gang of vagabonds after
years of lurking in the undergrowth !! Done 6yrs as a long range sniper(R.A). Had a terrible time adjusting & settling in civvy st, but got the head down and fcked off to Germany, Holland, Belgium and most parts of the
Middle East. Came home '87, and went into sales. Stopped work'93 due to bad health. I do wish I'd joined earlier !! the patter is fantastic,it's what i always missed. Thanks.
