    Hi All,

Well I'm new to the site. I served 16 years in the CRE, mainly as Amph and a Crane Op, I left the service in Jan 2011 and I now work as an Instructor with a Military Bridging Manufacturer in Stockport.

    REgards,

    Roxy.

Hello Everyone, Left the R.M.P. in 1975 and joined the police force. Retired from that two years ago and started to miss the comraderie and to put it bluntly, 'the piss taking'. I looked at this site on and off for a while and decided to give it a try a few months ago and signed up. I really enjoy it now, the humour is good, sometimes bloody sharp and some of the comments make me laugh out loud. (The wife thinks I'm a bit daft sometimes). I'm dipping into the site two or three times a day now. All the BEST, Pitcairn.

I spent several months out there in 2004. It is a realy lovely place. Took 12 days to get there and 9 days to get back. A wonderful experience which I will never forget.

Hi , not ex service but very much involved in all thing Military. My wife and I run a medal restoration and mounting business and display mounting of medals ans associated items. I collect medals to casualties on The Somme and visit their graves and site of action to remember them. Go to The Somme 3 times a year.
Also do talks for schools and organisations on life in trenches on The Somme.
Also interested in Normandy area but quite new to that!

Hello everyone. I'm 22, from Manchester, I gave up on my a-levels out of boredom, been out of work for years, tried to enlist three years ago but gave up because I lacked the self-discipline and now find myself realising that some things have to be worked for and if I want to do something, I should just do it.

I've been training for a month and seem to be making progress, since getting fit I've certainly noticed increased female attention and I've realised that running isn't so bad once you stick to it.

I'm wanting to join the Infantry, haven't decided on a regiment and I'm not sure what choice I have of them. Failing that I am just happy to wear the uniform and support the lads fighting the enemy at the front. I hope to be in, perhaps a decade or so, gain rank and if my wildest dreams are realised, gain a commission and get medals for gallantry!

Look forward to speaking to people serving and who have served and people in my situation, as well as just having a good natter about military stuff!
