Normally I'm quite good at low level IT stuff but this has me stumped or could it be the alcohol I've been drinking. Swicthed on the old PC too find all my firefox bookmarks vanished and now I have a crappy yahoo toolbar which won't go away. I've tried doing a system restore but the damn thing is like dogcrap on the bottom of your boots.
Any help from the more IT minded fraternity will be appreciated.
Ihad the same drama with yahoo toolbar.
I ran a search for files named yahoo and deleted the lot Toolbar disappeared, would not recommend if yu use yahoo for e-mail though

Randomly deleting files is not a recommended way of removing software - it still leaves all the registry keys etc in place and could cause severe system damage if you dont know what your doing.
A much better way of removing the Yahoo Toolbar is to go Start > Control Panel. Double click the Add/Remove Programs icon. In there you should find Yahoo Toolbar listed, with a big red Y in front of it. Single click on that and an option to remove it will appear on the right. Click the remove button and follow the onscreen instructions. Jobs a goodun.
Cheers Boney and Priam, only prob is I never downloaded the damn thing anyway. I removed all Yahoo progs from my system and the damn thing is still there. I'm more annoyed with the bookmarks I lost, now where's the small hammer?
Edit cos I shouldn't be allowed to use a computer tonight, I'm stupid, did a google search and found the answer. Thanks for advice anyway. Think it's time for bed for me

Under my User Info it keeps telling me I have 1 new message but when I look in the in-box there's nothing there. Is there a message stuck on it's way in?
