I believe this is caused when the new virus software detects something of a oddity called the "Whet" annoyance, it comes and it goes ..ZzzzzZzz.. quite randomly goes quiet ...ZzzzzZzzz... and then is back again.

I've have had a lot lower than that installing it on a badly out of date machine being crippled by AVG, it f**king hours to sort out, but got there in the end.
MSE is also free to small companies, hence why I use it.
Avast was on one of the machines infected here, it took MWbites to get rid, though the same trojan walked through MSE as well.Last edited by leveller; 12-04-2012 at 16:17.

Just loaded and ran Secunia. 96% secure apparently. What about other 4%? Hope none of these sentries are kipping on stag.

If you view the results page it will tell you which programmes are out of date. There is usually an arrow icon which you can click on which will take you to the update page for that software. Sometimes the update seems to have been posted but not available for download. Secunia will try on the next scan and may be successful.
You have to thank MSR for the pearls of wisdom, I only follow his advice, and it hasn't done me far wrong.
