Its always been the case.
Ten years on, this argument is held about three times a year.
The site growth, increased membership and revenue is the example of the sites success and the COs dedication to attempting to keeping as many people happy as much of the time as possible.
For those who aren't happy, no one is holding a musket to their heads and making them join in.
For me, 2011 saw a huge influx of gobshites and sock accounts. That is possbily a mods failing for not jumping on them, then new members join, see bellends gobbing off, creating sock accounts and emulate them.I agree with m'learned friend Badger Heed. Camberwell Carrot is indeed a cunt.

See my offer above of approving all new joiners for a week. Serious offer, and IMO required to keep this site free from muppets. Or at least give the muppets some advice on why their day 1 week 1 thread on "what was the best rifle you ever fired" thread didn't get past the scrutineers.

No, perhaps they just don't share your sense of fun, the clue is in the word 'moderation'
Not everyone's sense of humour is the same, I know I am guilty of having a fairly extreme sense of humour in many cases, then bite at what I deem to be trivial and repetitive crap like Maddie, Shed and other quips that were funny five years ago but have been trampled on so many times its cringeworthy.
The idea is to keep an even balance on the entire thread, usually, application of a little common sense would negate the need for this entire thread.I agree with m'learned friend Badger Heed. Camberwell Carrot is indeed a cunt.

Why not formally charge offenders and make them type "left, right, left, right" a hundred times at very high speed before awarding them the task of copying out and posting Deuteronomy backwards whilst receiving multiple abusive PMs written in harsh fonts?
