Re: Do you support the BNP?
I have never been in the armed forces.
Never in a million years would I ever consider voting for the BNP, they are nazi fascist scum.
Erm, didn't we fight a war against them? 1939-45 ring a bell with anyone? I hope Nick Griffin really comes a cropper on TV back home tonight.
Its great to see the top brass taking a stand against the black shirts...good on them!Transported and doing life. Please Your Honour, I'll never run off with another loaf of Hovis again!

Re: Do you support the BNP?
Ex Soldier, would never vote BNP.
Our Fore Fathers fought and died against the Nazis, why on earth would any serving or ex British Soldier want to vote for such an extremist party?
For what it's worth,I have no problem with the banner."I would rather see Dave Lee Travis play Macbeth"

Re: Do you support the BNP?
This is the problem with extremist political parties - they deliberately interweave populist ideas and policies into their abhorrent base beliefs. This has a two-fold benefit for such parties: it not only attracts desperate voters who choose not to see the underlying hatred, but it causes mainstream parties and commentators, who would be mad not to agree with at least SOME of their policies (e.g. the popularly demanded referendum on Europe) to deny that they agree with ANY policies and therefore damage their credibility. As I see it, the QT panel this evening should constantly refocus the debate on the hate policies of the BNP as Griffin will not be able to wriggle out of that.

I don't think that we're at crisis point yet, but the conditions in the UK at this time are ripe for nationalist parties to gain momentum, so to ignore them and their appeal would be foolish.
For the record, I am 100% civvie and I would never vote for the BNP.

Re: Do you support the BNP?
Thats what spoiling your ballot is for. Protesting does not have to involve voting racists into power. Vote independent if you want to vote for anyone.

Serving TA, no fcuking way would I vote for the BNP.
Incidentally, a goodly proportion of my (smallish, London) unit are black or Asian, including a good sprinkling of (at least culturally) Muslims."However proletarian and semiliterate he may have been, the English soldier, well nourished with meat and beer, stimulated with gin, and convinced of his own racial superiority to the foreign rabble he had to face, was a magnificent combatant, as anyone who has ever seen hooligans in action at a soccer match can readily imagine."

Re: Do you support the BNP?
I have just clicked on the link for stolen valour and as someone who doesnt really care who gets in as long as they sort out the mess that is broken Britain, I must say thats the biggest load of old shiite Ive ever seen. Shiite plinky plinky music for the main part and 10 seconds of quotes at the end. When are people going to get a grip on this issue FFS!!
Not a clue who im going to vote for but all this nonsense spouted whenever the letters BNP are mentioned is absolute madness.
I might get in touch with Mcnab and Weston and see how much it will set me back to get them to waffle on about the underfunding, cuts, destruction of proud regiments histories, needless deaths, suspension of the TA and illegal wars that this disgusting Government has led our once great nation into.
The BNP dont speak for all ex /servicemen. But on the same note Simon Weston and Andy McNab dont speak for us all either.
