Discuss RAF Regiment... give me strength... in The ARRSE Hole on The Army Rumour Service; My Corps works with them and supports them, we lay down fire for them, extract them
Oh right, so the AAC took over the Pumas, Merlins and Chinooks then? Or is Crab air doing most ...
Another bloody ex-crab or non serving war monkey......
And there's me in my slouch hat, with my SLR and greens.....
Bring back dragging lesser countries into the morning sunlight of the Queen Empress's enlightened rule.....( Huzza, by Jingo! ) with apologies to Goat chap
That would be "to the rear" and "to block the roads so fighting men can't get to the front". Yes, we're well aware of that... We're just uncertain as to why you're so proud of it... :D
That's quite correct, because of course, Eddie Stobart delivers all the stores to outlying locations.
The Royal Mail postie has the hardest round in the world and the UPS vans are such the hardest targets.
The food's not any food, it's obviously M&S food.
And of course we have a plethora of Hollywood Stars to deal with any IEDs.
So the RLC might as well come home and eat pies and ice cream.
But not actually ever being deployed anywhere as infantry?
You're actually thicker than you type... Since when were the RTR, (RAC whatever), and the Cavalry considered infantry...
Quit trying to big yourself up... You're a tech or whatever... You're not one of the "Big Five".... :D
I may be wrong but I am pretty sure there are cav guys out in Afgan now not driving tanks but something else and getting to the FOBs. I won't spell it out for you as I would guess that you franticlly google things like that so you can pretend to be "in the know".
I mean its not as if there have been out on the ground in Iraq either providing cover for convoys :S oh wait... Not so long ago I left the COB in a vehicle and protection was provided by the RLC in snatches, some of these guys where chefs by trade but did a bloody good job, were skilled and drilled and knew excaptly what they were doing. Where were the RAF Regt? One of the elite "big 5"? well they were outside the DFAC in WMIKs looking cool with fucking Avators on while one when to get the lunches. Then it would be some hard targetting back to Charlie for a few more hours of sunbathing and other wastes of tax payers money.
As for fcukwit I was an RGJ guy. I am really quite dubious about your post as I was in Cadets (yes ok well it was better than hanging out on street corners!) with a chap who all he wanted to do was join the Royal Anglians like his big brother. He as compleatly stright focused on this and was a good guy. Then I was saw his brother at the Army Navy a couple of years ago and he hold me that he had left as it wasn't for him and just before coming on tour I saw the guy himself and he is now RAF Regt, and he loves it, which is fair play to him. However I would look at this way Army = Hard and bit too much for him. RAF R = Nice and easy. That could be a gross oversimplification but I'll just stick with Ockham's razor.
Not getting them for a_a though, he hides behind what he calls humour but really does think he is an infanteer,
Firstly Stella, some of my posts to you and some others here are not supposed to be full of humour. Why? Because after over 140 pages of this shit you and some others still keep coming back an trying to prove that you are somehow superior. The thread degenerated into stupidity the moment it started. It has now gone as far as me suggesting a "Big Five". The problem is that the usual suspects take it seriously and you are one of the usual suspects.
You can buy a beer for the half of me you respect... :P
I think you will find they are all in the same family, say what you want having a father and three sons serving in the same unit and over seas there mother/wife will be very proud of them.
