I'm posting this in here because it really is dull, sorry.

I'm was called this evening by one of the eldest of my lovely brothers who was in a major rant, he went off on one for several minutes about I know not what, then connected me to a conference call with another two of the older brothers all screaming at each other....... listening carefully for a full two minutes before I hung up I got the gist of the quarrel.

Which was the superior series, funniest, best actors, script and characters was the hot topic.

Dads Army or It Ain't Half Hot Mum.

I just got a text from the brother next to me in the family line to say he can't get them off the phone, I told him to hang up.

Problem is now I want to know which is best!

Dads Army has a good cast but i think 'It Aint Half Hot Mum' has a better background, More exotic etc.

Perhaps best seen not as alternatives but as sequential....

Both based on writer Jimmy Perry's wartime experiences. Effectively he went from being Private Pike to one of the concert party.

With this compromise let fraternal harmony ensue.
