    - My father would of been happier if I had joined the regular army, as due to the school I went to that was what was expected, and to follow in father's footsteps instead I trailed his cum from my back passage as I headed down to collect my dole money
    - Work for a private health company (although being a crack whore would pay more) I know this because my dad still gives me 'pocket money' for chores - anal, hand, threesome with my mother...
    - Have just joined the TA as the local cumbucket
    - Shrew, glad that me bitching is keeping you entertained

Hope that answers some of the above and am going to stop bitching as that is not the idea of the area, there are a lot of students on this site, and so just going to accept, no one really likes us!!

    Would have you illiterate mule.

Is this what I will be missing out on by joining the Army, ill constructed sentences, and grammar so bad as to cause the Beastie Boys to finally stop 'spitting' rhymes, as they can't hope to compete.

Come on, you people are meant to be smarter than the rest of us.

Tell me, how exactly does one become a doctor with a degree in Humanities, or a Barrister with a degree in Sociology? Next you'll be telling us that most engineers are armed with Media Studies degrees.

I was not trying to defend some of the "Finger painting" studies but commenting on Bradshaw's sweeping statement.

Hmmm, alot of the graduate jobs start at around 25k a year. And they are only asking for a minimum of 2:2 degree, which is not even difficult to get.

Whereas most of the people I work with during the summer, who are doing my summer job as a career are struggling on about 10k a year. I always feel sorry for them too, even when they start bad mouthing students.

What graduate jobs have you looked at? I was at a top 20 university and the average leaving salary after 1 year is £15,800!! I have friends struggling to find a job for £12,500. Spending 3 years racking up debt for that kind of salary isn't great (before anyone starts I think privates and the forces in general are underpaid). Tution fees are now pretty much £3k a year across the board now, with living expenses of around £4k a year. So you can have £21k debt when you're 21 quite easily.

By the way, for spending a 4th year at uni, and spending £3k tution fees I'll be starting on 19k, which I think is a good salary, but it's not 25k a year.

    Here...

    Medics degree

http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/mhs/GEM/ I know of people who are considering this route on my degree who are interested in becoming neurologists, as opposed to jumping through hoops to qualify in neuropsychology,

As for law; my girfriends step-dad (an ex-cav officer) is a partner in a law firm and his degree was in Russian (completed post-Army).

I would suggest that applies to "city" based jobs and is subjective to the field in which the degree has been studied. The national average for a graduate is £20,000 i believe.

The majority of students leave uni under the misconception that the world owes them a living because they have just spent that last 3/4 years eating pot noodles and doing a few exams.
