Has the OP considered taking is girl friend to Catterick with him?
She can live in his locker on spunk and crisps and help him pass by bulling his boots for him, whilst he is out.

sorry but i have just seen this on my husbands pc.
refering to the chap who is worried that him and his girlfriend need to see each other 2 days a week.
end it before you get married and waste alot of peoples time and money. if you can't hack the seperation now you never will. i have been married 13 years and we have spent like every wife in the forces MONTHS apart not getting phonecalls, letters because our men can't get a chance to call. you learn to have two lives. one married the other as a restricted single life. i have 2 kids who also think nothing of him ever being there.
it takes a certain type of women to put up with a forces life, she has to be very independant, resourceful, able to adapt to moves and my biggest tip if you make it that far don't live in a quarter,it drags your life down.
either that or join theRAF,
sorry if this is all wrong but prats annoy me
