Let Me Go Christina Rosetti 1830-1894
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little, but not for long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that once we shared
Miss me, but let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take
And each must go alone.
It's all part of the master plan
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick at heart
Go the friends we know.
Laugh at all the things we used to do
Miss me, but let me go.
I'm welling up. Honest.

Who is he?
Why has he gone?
And does anyone care?

So let me get this straight, just so there is no misunderstanding later. You are saying that the lads who work in D Petch butchers in Great Ayton, Yorkshire and who make pork pies with no jelly, you are saying they are French, yes? That the big Yorkshire lads who spend their day expertly slicing up carcasses with very sharp knives and meat cleavers... You are calling them French?
Is that what is happening here? Or would you like to say you are very sorry? I doubt it will save you, but I might put a word in and retain the use of your legs.A million years on and still in trouble, put down your fists and hit it wiv a shovel.

I do not fear those who make unjellied pork pies.
I may however have been a little hasty in describing them as Frenchmen. They may in fact be merely Belgian.
