I'm confused (which to be fair isn't hard to do) but....why the fuck would you come on to a thread, which is in the Arrse Hole, to moan about being sick of people arguing on the thread and tell them to take it to PM's??? Simple solution, dont read the fucking thread you moron!!!! Jebus wept, if some folk on this site had a brain cell, they'd be fucking dangerous!

Bugsy, I'm not terribly interested in your views on Irish Republicanism, socialism or, indeed, veganism, but speaking as one with more than a passing interest in German history, I have particularly enjoyed your recent contributions on the DDR, even if, again, I haven't necessarily agreed with all of it. There is no substitute for first hand knowledge of a country, a point which I recently made to a fellow ARRSER, and to that end I remain interested in anything that you have to say on the DDR. Hope that his helps clarify my perspective on your offerings.

I've probably taken more flack and endured more personal insults than the majority of ARRSErs, but one thing I never did is to complain about it. To anyone! Instead, I kicked back and that was obviously something that they didn't want to see happening, since it meant that they were "losing" the battle. It was like conversing with ten-year-olds when I posted on a thread and one of them, would almost immediately respond with erudite gems such as: "You're a fucking gopping, Irish bog-trotting cunt", with complete disregard for the subject at hand. It was never their intention to stick to the theme of the thread, but to do their best to discredit me again and again for their own personal reasons. Thus the blame should be laid on those who employed those infantile tactics in the first place. I must say that it never bothered me much and I often responded in kind. But if you care to trawl through all my posts, you'll actually find that it was never me who started it, and now you imply that I was largely at fault for the "trolling" of threads that took place under those circumstance. That's a rather misleading position to take.

Now, those were folks who had their own personal problems with me (for whatever reason). But the origin of their problems is to be found in their own personal and individual issues and are not something that I can readily influence, nor would I wish to, since it's down to what they personally perceive to be some sort of threat to their obviously shaky self-esteem. It appears that they work on the principle of: "if I can't do it, I'll do everything I can to prevent you doing it". A rather immature attitude, if you ask me.

To clarify a few things for the hard-of-hearing: I'm an Irish Republican, a committed Socialist, a vegan and I also use the former GDR sign-off: "Mit sozialistischem Gruß" because I lived there and intensely admired the "Socialist" society that took root in spite of the best efforts of the ghastly GDR dictatorship regime. But I've never made any secret of all that and if folks wish to engage me in intelligent discussion on those themes, well, I'm only too happy to oblige. As long as the usual suspects don't show up and derail the thread. Nuff sedd.

As I’ve already stated, I disagree with most of your views, but that is neither here or there and not a reason for you or anyone else to be banned. I’ve never even argued with you (apart from here perhaps), but have been part of otherwise interesting threads that have fallen foul of you and your baiting friends. But you are being at least disingenuous, maybe dishonest, or perhaps you don’t understand the severity of the consequences of the statement(s) that got you blocked, despite your powerful support. If I was being cynical (I usually am) I would say that your next move would be to ask for the post(s) to be shown, despite knowing that their nature meant that they were removed just as your blocking took place.

Unlike many websites, views in the more distant percentiles are tolerated here. What pisses people off is those who don’t realise that the genuine argument has long since ended and it’s just another slanging match. Some can be quite funny, but all reduce to crud by those with nothing better to do or those with faulty senses of importance or ego. There’s a time that most realise a thread is pointless and move on.

Not that this, or any other post, will make a blind bit of difference. Let’s see how much you can use the ignore function and avoid engaging your trolls.

Not wanting to get involved in the slagging but I find it a little strange to complain that everybody else on this site is immature and like conversing with ten-year-olds, which is a stance I can actually agree with from some members on the site.
And then immediately afterwards you come out with the age old playground favourite line of 'but they all started it' and then you feel the need to respond in kind rather than rise above the children you think so little of?

Why is it whenever I see someone say they're a vegan I have a irresistable need for a bacon buttie. But what exactly does your eating habits have to do with the subject at hand? Unless of course you're merely one of those vegans who abstains from meat for little reason other than that you wish to tell the world about it and try to appear better than us munchers of Gods yummy creatures.

I never said that everybody else on the site is immature, just the usual suspects. Yes, I do feel the need to respond in kind. What's wrong with that? Perhaps you find it OK to allow folks to constantly insult, belittle, discredit and abuse you and derail threads just so that they can get their shitty little cheap shots in, but I don't. Simple as.

Why in the world would being a vegan make me (in your words) "appear better" than anybody else? That's not the way I see it at all, but it's an interesting attitude you have there, and based entirely on your own fictitious assumptions. If you want to cram bacon butties down you neck, why not? I believe everybody finds their own level and should be left to it. The only reason I mentioned being a vegan was because, in addition to the other items on the list, I regularly got slagged off for that too. Although, as you say, it's wholly uninteresting for others. A point with which I agree.
