He's not the sort of bloke to go Awol for 2 years and then hide behind a bunch of grannies,Vegitarians.Lesbians and hippies in an anti war movement and get his mum and convict wife to tell us what a nice lad he is

Wonder why he never attached himself to the anti war bods bfore going awol
We should remember the tremendous contribution of the Queen Mother to the war effort:
As the BBC pointed out, she 'bravely remained in London beside her husband' during the war.
This contrasts sharply with the actions of my grandfather who, on the declaration of war immediately left his wife and children and pissed off, first to France, then North Africa, Italy, France (again) and finally Germany.
The shame will always be with us.

    post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD
    Post traumatic stress disorder?!

He'll be claiming for bullet wounds and missing limbs next! Of all the conditions to pick, he chooses one that real soldiers who have faced real combat situations are suffering from.

Perhaps it's just me, but that seems pretty sick.

He's claiming that seeing the Nimrod crash coffins caused it IIRC

Depending on what mr bullshit is saying this week, I think he's a stacker (oh the shame) one of his stories was that he helped with the coffins for British soldiers at the med centre in KAF on herrick 4, which is a bit sus seeing on herrick 6 and 8 the stackers didn't go anywhere near the med centre (unless their sick chit needed renewing).

F*ck me! better start registering the people that line the road through Wootten Bassett with Combat Stress then.

Somehow, I missed this when it was first posted. Poor observation skills on my part, obviously. Nonetheless, I'd like to add a few words of praise for your original post, adding to the multitude already penned in this thread. Your letter was a thoughtful, thought-provoking and well crafted attempt to address a difficult and divisive subject. Despite his claims to speak for JNCOs, Glenton evidently has no support amongst those who have expressed an opinion here: a fair number of the brethren would be quite happy to see him go the same way as Saddam Hussain, it would appear.

Whatever his reasons for following the path that he chose, he has become a disgrace to his uniform.

You, by contrast, are a credit to both your Corps and your profession. Well done indeed.

Thanks - although assorted RE Sergeant-Majors would probably disagree with you on that one

I've just sent it to the 'joeisinnocent' email address. I'll post up any reply that I get.

It's just flashed up on my newsfeed that Glenton has been jailed.
"You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."
