Re: Were are you with your application process? - From app to P1
my mate who recently passed ADSC said the hearing test is quite difficult, u wear headphones and sit in a soundproof booth and have to click a button when you hear a beep, it gets very difficult to spot them towards the end as they get so quiet :D
Re: Were are you with your application process? - From app to P1
Well little miss cheerful. Was simply repeating some advice i was given by several ADSC Passers And an ADSC doctor. In most cases where ppl get deferred for hearing its because they didnt clean em out. Try warm water n a cotton bud perhaps. AS to work......change jobs?
Re: Were are you with your application process? - From app to P1
The good news I can tell you that nobody got deffered for hearing on ADSC...One bloke was borderline...so the put him in another booth and he passed! So wouldnt worry about it too much!
Re: Were are you with your application process? - From app to P1
Plus having ya mouth partially open durin the test can slightly reduce the ear drum pressure n makes it bit easier. Had a Military Hearing test few yrs back. Fun

It's not specific that you clean them out. However, you'll fail for AAC if you don't get Lvl 1 for both ears. In regards to cleaning them out. The doc recommends olive oil no pizza jokes necessary or specified ear cleaning fluid. Cotton buds only ramm the wax into your ear further... which would of course help the situation . I was told all of this by the ADSC doc who completed my medical.

Ah right cause i should have been specific. Buds for removing the crusty bits and some form of special solution to break up n remover the wax. Saline stuff works. Just what my Ear specialist advised few yrs back
