Cheers Manley,
I've just writtent mine out but couldn't spell Afghanistan so I put "Sand Pit" instead...but that useless freakin MP of mine probably won't know what I mean so I had better send her a memo aswell to clarify.
Seriously though, everytime another body drops, all we do on here is wring our hands, gnash our teeth and wail.
These are our lads ('n' lasses) from our Regiments that are getting dropped by nothing more than absolute incompetence of idiots.
That Guy Falwkes lad was just a bit too premature!
Perhaps a page of A4 with Afghanistan written upon it and folded to enclose a single white feather, addressed in an envelope to each and every member of this weak and feeble Government, may, just may, give compunction to their spineless, gutless existince in regard to those that they ask?
Sounds a good idea T-F , I'd be up for this.....

Odo,
Thanks for your support. If only others on here would realise the inference and undertake some level of direct action to shame the so called powers that be.
IMHO a single A4 with 'AGHANISTAN' written on it, accompanied by single white feather to each of the 644 MPs.... would cause quiet a stir if done all at the same time.....
I personally believe that all Defence Secs. should have at least served some time in the Forces but that's not going to happen any time soon with this lot I think!
Well you could get (Major) Eric Joyce - the most expensive MP in Britain. He'll have a ball I expect, pursuing old vendettas.
Cameron on 5 Live today said that he broadly supported the goverments stance on Afghanistan, so if Ainsworth has it all wrong then so does over two thirds of parliament.
and as a supplementary - has anyone seen the Tories say that MoD is going to be protected against the 10% cuts?

1. Key word 'broadly'. You can broadly agree with the aims (whether you're agreeing with something achieveable is another matter) without agreeing with the specifics - i.e. 'if you are going to do this, FFS, do it properly'.
2. You've asked about this 10% business before. The answer is 'no', but (a) cuts will come under another Labour administration, probably more severe (because of the need to furnish welfare spending) but dressed up differently
(b) your party has made no commitment to protect defence from cutbacks, so assuming the higher ground on the issues is a little premature
(c) it is not unreasonable for people to take the view that taken overall they would prefer to see the Tories in power, since there is at least a chance that they might do something to redress certain shortages of kit as opposed to adopting the fingers in ears, La-la-la can't hear you, all's well generally approach the current administration is clearly intent on following.
Who does his confidential
'This man sets himself a low standard and usually fails to achieve it, occasionally may work well under supervision with a lightwieght shovel'
Tex-fitz, I am not taking the piss, I like to track down the origin of words, so could you please give me a definition of the word "allurgerious" as I cant find it listed in the English language or the German language. Thanks.
