Not classed as a operation OP TOSCA, it will be the best 6 months you have ever spent in The Army unless you are a boring cunt and stay in every night then you will hate it.

There is no need for compulsory redundancies of fit, deployable soldiers - natural wastage, volunteers, PAP 10 and recruitment adjustments would suffice. This government is Hell bent on destroying the morale of long serving, loyal soldiers.

Anyone know if you are still eligible for redundancy if you are in your last 2 years and currently on resettlement? I was told a while ago that it was written down somewhere that anyone with 2 years left to serve would not even be looked at, but would be 'natural wastage'. This goes against what I was told yesterday in that Tranche 2 will target ANYBODY wtf??!!

Log onto Armynet, ABN 02/12, you will find:
The previously designated general exclusions (listed in Annex D of 2011DIN01-097: Army Compulsory Redundancy DIN, dated 1 Apr 11) which were due to apply to all tranches of redundancy are now no longer extant. All future exclusions will now be designated on a tranche by tranche basis and published within each of the Tranche DINs.
Followed a little later by
Army Compulsory Redundancy programme – Tranche 2. The fields for Tranche 2 of the Armed Forces Redundancy Programme for all three Services will be announced on 17 Jan 12. The window for application for compulsory redundancy will open on 17 Jan 12 and close on 28 Feb 12. Notification of selection for redundancy will be made to individuals on 12 Jun 12.
(The above paragraph should have been placed on your part one orders)
That is all anyone in your unit is likely to know (unless they have friends in high places) therefore anything else they are spouting is almost certainly complete sh*t

As stated, no one knows until next week. On the one hand it would seem stupid to make someone redundant who only has under 2 years to do, but (if you are on AFPS 75) and have between 1 and 2 years left to do, they would only have to pay you an extra 3 months salary on redundancy so I guess it could easily be a possibility.
Don't do today what you can put off until tomorrow
