I am ex RMP. having read through this I have come to one or two conclusions. First, that there are idiots in any unit. Second, those purporting to 'hate' the RMP have either had a run in with them as result of 'coming to police attention' or have been suspected of a crime and investigated. I don't belive the 'Army' as such hates RMP. I think there is more an antipathy for anyone in authority who exercises that authority. You will always get those who having been brought to book will blame everyone but themselves. Look at this like, drunk weaving his way home to Roman Way Barrcks up layer Rd, RMP patrol pulls up, 'where you going chum?'. 'Trying to get back to camp Corp' ' Jump in, we will give you a life' Result, one drunk off the streets, handed to the RP staff, told there is no problem see him of to his bed. Same scenario, except this time the answer to the question is, 'Fake off you monkey bastard' Too easy, drunk and disorderly jailed for the night. So who is the idiot now??
