Pownall's Fireside Lancers.
I was fascinated this week, whilst tracing family history, to realise that The Depot for Pownall's Fireside Lancers still existed in Manchester in spite of the move to Rose Hill Road in the late 1950s.
Rose Hill Road has been pasted over and is now a school but Daisy Mill is still in existence.I had a black shirt, but I wasn't one.
