CAARPS, read it again. I think it was accidental, but it was there towards the bottom of his post.

And if you are still struggling look closely at the phrases ‘Verbal response’ or ‘answer to an obvious question’

If you are talking about the obvious question (very tenuously) being “Why does hanging from a nylon sheet make you special”. The answer would really have to be some sort of justification about the Nylon sheet bit, not as in this case “It Doesn’t”

PS: If I were 'in charge' I would have six battalions of 'paras' and six RM commandos. (NO disrespect to the 'real' infantry - unequalled anywhere in the world).

The jobless, hopeless 'yoof' wandering our streets causing trouble, would, with the benefit of the 'military system' kicking their lazy arrses, be just as good as their grandfathers' and great grandfathers' generation.

To pay for this enhancement, I would make serious 'savings in the Royal Air Force.

Step One: Anything that kills, frightens or hurts, to the Royal navy.
Step Two: Anything that lifts, or looks, or seeks, or transports, to the Army.

Job done.

Additionally, I would chop fifty MPs from Parliament - huge savings there, if only in expenses!

For my money, saving crab air is the reasons the Harriers and Ark Royal were killed. off. Harrier or Tornado had to go. Without Tornado why have crab air ? Keep Tornado, keep RAF.
According to Dannet the reason our troops didn't have Black Hawk in support is because of territory wars with CA. If they had then the Paras wouldn't have had to jump and could have been absorbed into the real infantry. There has only ever been 1 successful airborne op and that was Crete.

I heard that the lads who participated in this op have since been permitted to wear their para wings above their left breast pocket. No.... seriously..... a bloke down the pub told me. Good drills though!
