    Re: FMT

    Ok ...relevance time now!
Yes i am ex reg but i fail to see what that has to do with posting common sense statements. Ive spent a long time reading many posts on arsse and have come to the conclusion that if your a civie your a walt and if your ACF your worse than a walt and if your a stab then crack on coz your a stab and if your a reg whatever you say is the gosspel according to ST soft lad......
.But what ever happened to common sense and the truth or is arsse so intimidated by everyone that has something to say thats normal Arsse cant see the woods for the trees anymore!

on a sensible note and a more useful answer, it may be difficult to get on a fam course due to budget etc at the moment,

again im only a driver, but im aware that, at the moment, unless courses are totally neccessary theres no chance of getting on them due to budget, although that may just be the stance of many TA regiments at the moment.

would speaking to DST leconfield or grantham not be any use?

Appologies accepted on my part but would it not be better for the armed forces as a whole to not snipe every time we get a chance and maybe give everyone a chance untill they burn their own boats/bridges ..And then we can all have some fun ....I am the biggest outer of walts going.....and .....well lets see.

What you have to remeber is we the mod are not a democracy and have a chain of command and so do the regs and the ta and believe it or not the acf. so talking directly with any of the above units will proberbly cause more pain than good for yourself ..... trust me i was once as keen and as impetuous as you mate and it took a few memaranda to calm me down....

    Re: FMT

I am very well aware of the CoC and got very much put in my place at an early stage in my so far short lived TA career!
I am not aware of what position WM is in or where he stands in the CoC. I know that the cadets also have CoC but surely to get onto driving courses etc it requires applying through the correct channels.
    Apologies if im missing something.

On the other hand i dont know what use a GSDI at a local transport unit would have?
Although im fairly sure days have changed when you could have a one to one with an instructor for a few days and get signed off, i think all regimental run courses require authorisation from leconfield now

not sure if the FMT 600 has an expiry, but if any vehicle hasnt been driven in over a year it requires a re-fam or it gets scrubbed off the 600 If i remember correctly
