The thing what alsways amazes me is how people think they can spin such yarns and believe they can get away with it. There is certain enough ex serving personnel who really have been there and done it to quickly spot a walt so why bother?

What a mong. "I get carried away sometimes". Great, him getting carried away could cost you cadets when little Johnny goes home reciting tales of death and daring do.

If explaining stuff like that to the cadets is what is needed to earn respect, then I really dont want it.

Although my cadets seem to think that soldiering is like an American war film.
    I used to think that!

I give the Cadets the same advice I was given in Sutton Coldfield, many moons ago. If you dont like chips and hanging around... Dont join the Army!
