The British Army in Second Life
RnR Island is the British Army in Second Life. Second Life is a virtual world with millions of 'residents'. You appear as an avatar figure, and can speak to others (voice or text chat), buy land, build, play games, start a business, or do pretty much anything else you can think of. On RnR Island it's predictably not so serious, with the main pastimes being zombie fighting in the FIBUA village, sky diving, chatting and dancing in the bar or using the ranges.
Second Life is free to join and as with all things ARRSE, RnR island is free to use. It is basically the ultimate in high tech 3D chat facility with many many bells and whistles. Future ARRSE?

Tip: if there's no one on the island, try the evening. Like ARRSE chat, that's when it's busiest.
Support the Island
The down side: the island costs a lot. Our aim is to cover at least 50% of the Second Life monthly fees through donations (50% is about £95), although we obviously wouldn't complain at more!
Of course we like to recognise this support so donors get this under their user avatar on ARRSE:

Thanks!
On ops with a pink SA80 - Why? No idea.
