Just reading of a new radio play about Helmand to be aired this Saturday at 2.30pm on Radio 4.

Written by Andy McNab and "inspired by interviews and personal acoounts of lads and lasses who've been over there".

Looks like it going to be worth a listen.

heard it advertised. probably worth listening to.

The afternoon play touched apon Telic with two stories.

Bugger, missed it.. tried to replay it but not an option...

'Last Night, Another Soldier' was the title of a 1973 Bafta award winning documentary about a section of 3RGJ in NI.

Andy McNab was ex-RGJ, I believe-

It was also the title of a song by the Angelic Upstarts.

Also the title of a novel about a young squaddy and a Catholic girl? Perhaps I'm confused there.
