No, there isn't. However, its useful to have a good understanding as to what a young officer's role is at this point in the process, not only in case they ask you in the interview, but for your own benefit.
I was a complete military virgin before I completed AOSB, so I made a concerted effort to find out what I was getting myself into. Try buying the British Army Pocket Guide to get some basic info, but also, the Army's website is packed full of info about corps/regiments/recent news etc.
At Main Board you'll find they'll push your understanding to make sure you really know what you're getting yourself in to, usually in the interviews. Also, in the multiple choice computer tests, there's a section on military knowledge. It's not difficult, but poor performance could see you being enrolled in the PRMAS course (not always such a bad thing).
I hope that helps.
Thanks for your reply. There is no need for me to purchase that book though, my ACA has already provided me with one!

I'm guessing this is in fact a test that you pass by failing.

You reckon it's to test how we handle uncertainty and ignorance, rather than general knowledge?

Good call, that's just the kind of counter-punishing i expect at main board. I of course meant it was of the order monotremata.

As for the rest, who cares?
You can only prepare so much for this guys - I bricked it that I had enough current affairs knowledge, I was hapy with my Service Knowledge and general knowledge.
From what I remember, the really obscure dread questions never appeared (you can expect them at our first Regimental posting though).
