Couldn't listen to that all the way through, the insincerity is just nauseating; this guy needs to learn when to shut the * up!

He almost sounds sincere doesn't he? Unfortunately for him, actions speak louder than words.

Mr_Deputy:
he nearly stumbled backwards as well. you'd think he'd know how to reverse given the number of them they do on policy.
Cameron at least had sense to loo0k at his feet while walking backwards.

Is it not possible that clumsy footwork, missing behavioural cues and the appalling handwriting simply point to the fact that the man is nearly blind?
If he simply admitted it and got himself a guide dog he would actually look a bit more dignified, and people might cut him some slack on his behavioural defects.

Still a political bombsite of the first order though.

Place a pin below the window and tell him to pick it up, as he moves forward stick your leg out. If he trips over your leg don't share a 2 seater aircraft with him.

I must confess I thought I'd missed Brown's bow. I wonder if he saw Cameron's proper job and thought "Billhooks! Knew I'd forgotten something!"

As far as HM Forces go, Gordo can't do a single thing right. It is a gift - for Cameron.

I thought his body language after he moved away after that perfunctory nod gave away that he couldn't wait to be somewhere else, and wished he didn't have to be there in the first place.

As to Miliband, I imagine his thoughts are with his incinerated East European relatives rather than British casualties.

Not a letter to treasure, is it?

PM Says Sorry For Soldier Name Blunder

12:23pm UK, Monday November 09, 2009

Miranda Richardson, Sky News Online
Gordon Brown has telephoned the mother of a soldier killed in Afghanistan who accused him of being disrespectful, and apologised for any offence caused.

The Prime Minister spelt Jacqui Janes' surname incorrectly in a hand-written note sent following the death of her Grenadier Guardsman son Jamie, 20, in an explosion on October 5.

But Mrs Janes quickly spotted the first of the errors when she noticed the letter began "Dear Mrs James"

"He couldn't even be bothered to get our family name right. That made me so angry," Mrs Janes, 47, told the newspaper.

"Then I saw he had scribbled out a mistake in Jamie's name.

"The very least I would expect from Gordon Brown is to get his name right.

"The letter was scrawled so quickly I could hardly even read it and some of the words were half-finished. It's just disrespectful."

Here's a short video contrasting Her Majesy and Gordon Brown's ability to bow their head in remembrance

MrPVRd:
Not bowing his head in appropriate solemnity is the least of his sins regarding the Armed Forces at the moment.

There will be a leak or press release tomorrow...."PM could not bow head because of threat of retinal detachment." That's only half in jest.

The sight of him scurrying for the glass eye wouldn't be a 'good look'; it'd probably roll under a squaddie's boot. A surreptitious shifting of weight would squeeze the little globe across road for a quick game of PM's 'lost' marble.

Actually, watching the ceremony, I was struck by the contrast between Her Majesty's stillness and poise and the twitching and awkwardness of Brown.

I have just emailed No 10 office (link here: http://bit.ly/emailthePM) to ask, politely, why he didn't bow his head.

Particularly galling that yesterday is all over his site, along with

Quote:
"PM to commemorate fall of Berlin Wall...

Later today the Prime Minister will attend events commemorating the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

He will be joined in Berlin by many other heads of state and government, including the President of France, Nicolas Sarkozy, the President of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, and Hillary Clinton, the United States Secretary of State."

I wonder if he'll bow his head at the Berlin Wall ceremony?

And to whom will he bowing if he does?

Gordon is currently trying to sell off all Army assets in London, in order to help pay off the masses of debt he has saddled this country with.

Already Chelsea Barracks and the Duke of York's Headquarters have been sold by New Labour, next up Regents Park Barracks (see link - 8 Oct 2008 : Column 228).

www.publications.parli...8-0001.htm

I wonder how much Candy & Candy will pay for Regents Park Barracks???

Can I point out as I don't think it has been mentioned elsewhere that Cherie Blair was looking very respectful!

Lizard_Lips:
I've just been watching the remeberance parade at the Cenotaph. Did anyone else notice Gordon Brown was the only person laying a wreath that did not bow his head.

Everyone else managed to do it why couldn't he?

Again he shows his lack off support and respect for the Armed Forces

Yes. I noticed this when it happened.

Apparently having any reverence for those who've put themselves in harm's way so this twat can destroy the economy is beneath him.

Apart from repeatedly treating the armed forces with open contempt, the man knows no shame.

The question is, what he ever hoped to gain by it? He must surely know that he's gonna be bent over and taken roughly, and without Lube, at the next general election?

And not just him, either: ZANU Labour face a generation in Opposition (if there's any justice).
