Currently in the process of improving my run time for my AOSB in february, so I have a while yet.
However, my run time doesn't seem to be improving too much. The one I did last Tuesday was 9:56, albeit that was a best effort run and I was knackered by the end of it
Any tips?

Go swimming, and try tabata intervals. That pervet Mag_To_Grid put me on to them, and they are excellent if a little agonising

Below are the required run times that have been sent from ADSC Glencourse to all recruiters, applicable to all potential recruits and broken into relevant trade groupings.
PARACHUTE REGIMENT- Below 09:40 mins (See note 1)
INFANTRY, RLC 101 (PIONEER)- Up to 12:45 mins (See note 2)
R IRISH, RE, RAC/HCAV, RA, REME- Up to 13:15 mins
RLC, AGC and all other jobs not yet listed- Up to 14:00 mins
JUNIOR ENTRY- Up to 14:30 mins
Notes:
1: Run time for PARA is dependant on static lift- If lift is over 116kg, then run must be below 09:40 mins. If static lift is under 116kg, run time must be below 09:18 mins.
2: All run times between 10:50 mins and 12:45 mins will be reccomended for Physical Development Course.
..................................................................................
EDITED TO ADD:
The times above are from ADSC, and not from any individual recruiting office. Each office may well have their own standards that they expect you to meet prior to attendance at ADSC, for any reason they wish.
As a result, if the time that your recruiter tells you that you must achieve differs to the time above, then listen to him/ her- don't think, or try telling them, that they are wrong because you have read this post, OK?
This site is the Army RUMOUR service after all- you don't know who the hell is telling you this, do you?
The Army Careers Information Offices are there for just that reason- provding you with information.
So, When i go for selection. Im 16. Don't I enter as Junior? Im going in for Infantry. i haven't really started properly training yet. So i think i should start very soon. but if im joining as Junior do i still have to do the infantry time in 12:45And Less? Or do i aim for Lower than 14:30?

In fact, I think I started it a couple of months ago and I'm still stuck on week 3!

Only do slow, proper form pressups otherwise it won't work.

10.00 mins 1.5 mile is no problem at all. As with the heaves can do around 7.
What's this I hear about 'grades'? There was no such system in place last time I passed back in 2007. How do they contribute to the joining process? Does a potential recruit with low grades pass? Or are they just lower down the pecking order when it comes to intakes?
Thanks for the help thusfar anway.
Much appreciated.

A and B grades get you into the next avalible intake. C grades and down get you in after all the B grades ,that passed around the same month as you, have been assigned dates. Works something like that anyway, fivetodo will be able to give you the exact works of it though.
