From the very first post in this thread.
You are a very lucky man to be given the opportunity at 32 to join Para Regt!
Do yourself a favour & don't mention that you failed Marines at week 6, whilst you are in training.
You'll be setting yourself up for pisstaking & ridicule, not only by the staff but the recruits too!
Don't really want to put a dampener on your attempt, but how are you going to pass P Company if you can't pass the Marine Course?
Good luck mate..........You're going to need it!
From what posts ive read/seen of yours, one question, is it you or your dad thats joining the army. Either that or you dads ex forces?
i can do the 1.5 running backwards in 10.50 so no excuses fat lads
Yeah it's an electronic read out though, no barbell.
Regular recruiting. For TA see the Joining the TA

Im going junior entry at harrogate and i got 8:32 Pretty proud.
I think if you do a lot better in all the other tests like dynamic lift and everything else... they let you off with your run time.

no run time is the biggest swinger in selection, or so my interviewing officer at selection told me
i managed a 9:41 run time which is good considering i passed selection for RE, my strength is lacking to be honest so i cant wait for basic, i completed the jerry can carry and did 9 heaves, but i hope to do better
are the fitness tests you do at the start of harrogate like the ones at ADSC?
thanks

As a new member, I would have thought it customary to have a read around first before quick firing your first post.
Anyway, good luck with your selection - I'm sure you'll be fine if you put the effort in.
