You will be missed but always remembered. May your family and friends be comforted and inspired by the good you did.

RIP Oz.

Bob.

more from the MoD

www.mod.uk/DefenceInte...nistan.htm

"He saved lives in 2 RIFLES time after time and for that he will retain a very special place in every heart of every Rifleman in our extraordinary Battle Group."

Lieutenant Colonel Robert Thomson, Commanding Officer 2 RIFLES Battle Group

He sounds like a top bloke - a very heartfelt RIP from a former rifleman

Here's to sharing the last rolly under a basha, to cleaning each others gats while we made the wets, for the tin of compo paste when in hospital and to getting pissed out of our heads as often as possible and never taking it all too seriously!

I'll miss you Oz

Rest In Peace

Oz and I shared many a smoke on the bench overlooking the canal in Jackson. He once pulled over 30 complex IEDs off Rte SPARTA in a single day. He was a legend in every sense of the word; utterly competent, brave and a top soldier.

I echo Colonel Rob's words - he was a huge favourite among the 2 RIFLES BG and I feel privileged to have served alongside hiim.
