No leave them in! Combat Jack, the episode of Generation Kill the quote was lifted from was brilliant. If only you could replicate the Padre's face on your Avatar?

That's what I changed them to, still looking for that piccy of the padre's face!

And, I for one would like to know whom you are quoting on each occasion . . . .
Because - on some other threads - you will find folk posting answers/responses to a number of different other contributors, within the one reply.[/pedant]
CRmeansCeilingReached:
for the purposes of demonstration:
you can do that far more clearly using the quote function.
see? can still take things apart bit by bit.
nope, not really. you might know who said what, but it's not obvious to the reader. trust me, this way is far easier to read and understand. i explained the mechanics above. click "quote" on this post and you can see the commands used.

Understood, I just like taking things apart bit by bit

I was a ligthsider before becoming a languages freak, but I am also a locks geek, blah blah
see? can still take things apart bit by bit.

My most recent posts on this thread; the first the italics function wasn't making but sense to me, but cracked it for the third, and the 2nd + 4th were just straight replies. Hope that clears things up for you.

Can anyone in a good position answer 2 questions for me please?
I saw the RAOL list dated 30th October 09 today and it mentions the long language courses for Arabic, Dari, and Pashto with 1 tour as the return of service.
Is Arabic 'back on' as a long language course for July 2010?
Is it really only 1 tour as return of service rather than the 2 it has been recently?
Or is this simply a recycled list!?
Thanks,
Dee Dee

Forgot to mention as well it is for one tour for the intial training now followed by the option of another 12 months to get to Diploma level (level 4) followed by another tour. So you have the option of only doing the one tour, but you don't gert the qualification if you choose it.

The two are entirely unrelated! And if I remember rightly I was very, very drunk when I typed those words. But thanks for pointing it out ,I shall correct them or change them.

I believe the direction is changing towards Somalian use of Arabic though, ie, learning such phrases as, "Get off that boat or we'll send the Royal Navy in after you"....

but the RN are leaning towards persian, with phrases like "please give me back my iPod" and "seriously, is this the only fucking suit you've got in my size? i look like Borat."
