Stuck now.

Post Posted: Tue Oct 20, 2009 1:30 pm

Okay, so I've recently signed up and I've finished my medical forms and my BARB test and the guys at the careers office said as soon as they get my medical forms then they'd contact me to arrange an interview, but it's now been over a week since I did the BARB test and my doctor sent my medical forms off two days prior to me doing the tests. How long will it take for them to get in contact with me? It feels like I've been waiting forever.

Wait four weeks then chase them up, or if you want to get it all in a hurry pester the surgery every day to get your quack to fill in the sheets, remember the all the doc has to do is put your med history in a tick box, if your med history is clear its about 1 min worth of labour from your doc

My doctor has finished and sent them off, because I checked in with him on the day of my tests, and it won't have taken a week for my forms to get down to the careers office in the post even with 2nd post mail. I live pretty close to where it is.
It's just all this waiting and being nagged off my mum to get a job while I wait and stuff. I just wanna go :D.

SamE give the afco a ring and speak to your recruiter, he'll let you know if he's recieved them. In the meantime tell your mum to chill out and let her know the situation and what your waiting for. Even when you have had your interview your gonna be waiting for your phase 1 start date.

I'm won't be doing the direct entry I don't think, I'll be going to Harrogate if all goes to plan. I might just train for the run and all the physical stuff a lot more.

Apparently there is a vacancy for RE Electrician, just got a call...

Got me thinking...

Different from what my job choice is (design draughtsman), I think it's only tempting me because I'm itching to go.. Maybe I should just stick it out

Stick to your 1st choice matey, will be worth it in the long run. Dont make a haste decision, do what you want to do.

Hope you make the right decision Razz

Yeh, just turned it down. Rather stick out the wait if it's to do my 1st choice...

Would of been going next month instead of April at least

And then my dear Lemon, I'd have a vast amount of jealousy and hatred towards you! Cool

Nah, good choice fella! Stick with your first choice! Sit it out! I'm sure you'll appreciate it in the long run...
