So I take it Bullsh*t Bob told you in person?
That's suspended too.
Classic
Don't then.
Wait for your unit to tell you, although i suspect the papers will pick this up over the weekend.
Anyone informed the Regular Army of that?

Quieten down now in the cheap seats. Just take your compulsory swine flu vaccine that will weaken your immune system and kill you shortly. With no armed forces and no health care workers it will be easy to finish most of the rest of the population off.
Regular army? Pah! Surplus to requirements.
Now where the fukc is my tin foil hat....
Had that run against me for the next unit w/e. Luckily, I missed the previous version of this because I was deployed and SOPs say min 1/yr for my role to be deployable ... And that was just the T&S - I'm well off hitting my MTD limit (having had all of them this year out of the op budget not the Bde one.)

Oh * that was frightening! Would you believe my job is an immunisation co-ordinator and swine flu vaccination currently my number one task.
1. It's one Army, but I'm told that a separate board is wanted.
2. Regulars, don't bait the TA; we've heard it all before and it's boring.

Woe, Woe, and Thrice Woe........
Although I cannot confirm twiggylad's announcement, I can say that pretty shortly, unless your training is directly linked to Ops, it will cease. Stop. Desist. You can still turn up, I suppose, but don't expect to be paid for it.
In case you haven't noticed, this Government has spent all our money, and all our children's money, and borrowed against our grandchildren's earnings.
The MOD in particular is hard hit because:
a) it is fighting a war/insurgency/insectSurrection/Civil War/ whatever you like to call it, and
b) it is not about to get a penny more from the Treasury. Ergo, to fight the war even halfway 'properly', it means taking money from everywhere else. This means the TA, as well as many many other areas. The reasons for this late shift in priorities are easy enough to discern. Firstly, there's an election due next year, and secondly, there's an election due next year. Expect more knee-jerk quick fixes for the next six months.
Don't book a Spring Break on the back of TA earnings, is all I'm saying....

Can units survive 6 months sans training and expect people to turn up to whatever is in store next year?
Looks like we will be be the credit crunch's first public casualty.
